Lagos State Government has warned residents and allottees of its public housing estates to stop breaking the rules. Authorities promise to take strong action against those who violate regulations to protect the estates’ integrity.

Commissioner Moruf Akinderu-Fatai made this warning during a meeting with the Oba Adeyinka Oyekan Housing Estate Residents Association in Lekki. He stressed that following the rules in Letters of Allocation and Deeds of Sublease is crucial for city growth and sustainability.

Common violations include making unauthorized changes to buildings, not paying service charges, and turning homes into businesses. The government will carry out inspections to check for compliance. Residents are urged to fix any issues quickly or face possible penalties.
