KCB & Mi Vida Homes Partner to Build Affordable, Green Homes

Addressing Kenya’s Housing Deficit

KCB Bank has partnered with Mi Vida Homes to build eco-friendly, affordable homes in Kenya. This collaboration directly supports the government’s goal of closing the housing gap.

As a result, more people, especially first-time buyers, will have access to affordable, quality homes. This partnership also aims to provide a solution to Kenya’s growing urban population, which faces an increasing demand for housing.

KCB Provides Flexible Financing Solutions
KCB will provide debt financing to help Mi Vida Homes build modern housing units. Additionally, the bank will offer end-user financing, enabling homebuyers to purchase homes at competitive terms.

Through this, the partnership makes homeownership easier for many Kenyans who would otherwise struggle to afford it. KCB’s vast network will provide buyers with easy access to mortgage products and banking services, simplifying the purchasing process.

Bridging the Housing Gap for Low-Income Earners
Kenya faces a significant housing shortage, especially for low-income earners. In response, this partnership will ensure the availability of ready-built, quality homes in master-planned communities. These homes will offer sustainable, affordable living for those who need it the most.

Thus, KCB’s customers, including first-time buyers and low-income families, will have better access to these affordable homes. The homes will also be built with environmentally friendly materials and technologies, aligning with the government’s push for green building practices.

Promoting Economic Growth and Homeownership

Caroline Wanjeri, KCB’s Director of Mortgage Business, emphasized the bank’s dedication to transforming the housing sector. “This partnership will provide affordable, sustainable homes and help Kenyans build wealth through homeownership,” she stated.

Similarly, Samuel Kariuki, CEO of Mi Vida, highlighted the importance of sustainable living. “We focus on creating affordable, eco-friendly homes that meet today’s needs while ensuring a better future,” he added. The homes will include green features like solar panels, rainwater harvesting systems, and energy-efficient appliances.

This collaboration contributes to Kenya’s Affordable Housing Programme, which aims to build 250,000 homes for low-income earners. Ultimately, it addresses the housing crisis, promotes economic growth, and fosters a greener future for all Kenyans. The partnership also aligns with Mi Vida’s commitment to sustainable development and timely project delivery.
