Noldor Artist Residency revealed in a public statement that Johanes would be succeeding Joseph Awuah-Darko, who now assumes the pivotal role of Chairman after steering the institution since its establishment in 2020. The shift allows Awuah-Darko to redirect his focus toward his artistic pursuits and other projects.
Johanes, who joined the Residency in 2021 as the Manager, brings a wealth of experience and a deep comprehension of the institution’s principles. His unwavering commitment and insightful contributions have played a pivotal role in shaping the Residency’s development and also its overarching vision.
He holds a Bachelors in Theatre Arts and a Masters in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the University of Ghana, Johanes stands out as a proficient professional with a knack for optimizing workplace dynamics and enhancing organizational effectiveness. His expertise lies in implementing innovative strategies that foster positive and productive work environments.
During his tenure as Residency Manager at Noldor Artist Residency in Accra, Johanes demonstrated efficiency in overseeing the operations of the artist residency program. Managing diverse initiatives and orchestrating events for over 40 fellows, he further showcased proficiency in employee coaching, recruitment, and conflict resolution. His approach emphasized collaborative environments that prioritized growth and community engagement.
Building on prior experiences as a Graduate Assistant at the African Studies Department and an Administrative Assistant Intern at the Chartered Institute of Human Resource Management, Johanes also contributed as an Assessor-Talents Team member for the Young African Leadership Initiative.
