James Harden’s future at the Philadelphia 76ers is very much up in the air. There is a friction between the player and the Sixers and the situation has taken a turn for the worse, as Harden made an incredibly bold and controversial statement during training camp.

In the aftermath of Harden‘s statement, numerous prominent figures within the world of sports have expressed their opinions either in support of or in opposition to what he said.

Many of these reactions were influenced by their own past encounters with unfulfilled commitments and questionable transactions.

What did James Harden say?

When questioned about his level of communication with the Sixers and his patience in dealing with the club’s President of Basketball Operations, Daryl Morey, Harden responded with a rather nonchalant and dismissive answer.

“I have been patient all summer,” Harden said, via KHOU 11 News.

“For me, it is just to focus on what I can control and that is working out, staying in shape and getting ready for next season.”
