Israel-based XTEND Reality Inc. has inaugurated a new US headquarters and manufacturing center in Tampa, Florida.
The Tel Aviv company develops unmanned aerial systems (UAS) for the Israel Defence Forces, the American military, and other commercial users.
According to XTEND, the launch of its latest office brings its specialized support closer to US defense missions and aligns with the broader objectives of Washington’s leaders to bolster the promotion and utility of autonomous solutions produced domestically.

XTEND’s current projects for the US Department of Defense include the production of Group 1 drones, or those weighing up to 20 pounds (9 kilograms), have a maximum service ceiling of 1,200 feet (366 meters), and a top speed of 100 knots (115 miles/185 kilometers per hour).
In 2023, the company’s family of UAS, including the Wolverine small rugged system, the Griffon drone interceptor, and the XTENDER tactical indoor microdrone, all passed full National Defense Authorization Act compliance for US military use.
XTEND has also been part of a 2022 project to supply its proven Wolverine tactical drone to the US military, and a 2020 effort to field its Sparrowhawk counter-UAS for American special forces.
“Our systems are designed to give operators unprecedented control, safety and performance in the most demanding environments,” XTEND Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder Rubi Liani commented on the firm’s hub launch in Tampa.
“This new facility enables us to bring advanced engineering and innovation directly to the US market, allowing for rapid integration, customization and deployment. It’s a critical step in our mission to redefine human-machine collaboration in defense and national security.”
