Investec Cape Town Art Fair is proud to host its 11th edition from 16-18 February 2024. Investec Cape Town Art Fair is Africa’s largest art fair bringing together a diverse group of celebrated exhibitors, including prominent galleries from around the world showcasing predominately contemporary art. The Fair offers an intimate experience of Cape Town, the city’s people and their creative achievements. It is a platform for collectors, galleries, curators, artists, and art journalists from around the world to create connections.

With 106 exhibitors, 25,000 attendees, and 6700 VIPs, Investec Cape Town Art Fair it provides a platform for collectors, galleries, curators, artists, and art journalists from all over the world to establish contacts at the vanguard of contemporary art. Investec Cape Town Art Fair has established itself as the hub where the rapidly expanding African art market and the international art world converge thanks to its personal experience of one of the most distinctive art capitals in the world.

The 2024 edition of the fair features 5 core sections (Main Section, ALT, Editions, Publications and Connect) and 3 curated sections (Tomorrows/Today, SOLO and Generations).

A new theme will symbolically influence the curated sections: Unbound

What does it mean to be unbound? How can the experience of art liberate the mind? The 11th edition of the Investec Cape Town Art Fair takes as its starting point the boundless imagination and limitless potential of art to inspire and challenge. It will provide a platform for art that provokes the imagination and breaks away from traditional storytelling and social expectations.

Investec Cape Town Art Fair has appointed the following curators:

Tomorrows/Today section | Dr. Mariella Franzoni (Barcelona, Spain)

SOLO section | Sean O’Toole (Cape Town, South Africa)

Generations section | Natasha Becker (San Francisco, United States) and Amogelang Maledu (Cape Town, South Africa)

Application deadline: 22 September 2023

Application fee: R2000 (excl. VAT)

Acceptance or Non-Acceptance Notice: October 2023

Investec Cape Town Art Fair is now accepting applications for Main Section, ALT and Editions (deadline September 22); and for the three curated sections Tomorrows/Today, SOLO and Generations (deadline September 22).
