HP, a global computing innovator, reveals a game-changing foldable laptop at CES 2024 with a 17-inch OLED display, possibly named HP Spectre Fold.

The HP Spectre Fold aims to provide the best of both worlds, combining a sizable screen for productivity and entertainment with a compact form factor for enhanced portability and convenience. This transformative device folds in half, seamlessly transitioning from a 17-inch laptop to an 11-inch tablet, or unfolds to create a flat surface for a dual-screen mode. Notably, it includes a detachable keyboard and a stylus, allowing users to switch between various modes of input and interaction.

Powered by a custom micro-OLED display, developed in collaboration with LG Display, the HP Spectre Fold boasts high resolution, brightness, contrast, and color accuracy. The display supports touch and pen input and can endure up to 200,000 folds without compromising quality. Additionally, the device features a 3D camera, spatial audio, and a dual-chip system incorporating advanced technology and design elements.

Targeting creative professionals, gamers, and enthusiasts seeking a versatile and powerful device, the HP Spectre Fold can run diverse applications and games. Equipped with Intel Core Ultra 5 processors and optional NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPUs, the device leverages AI technology to optimize performance, security, and user experience. For instance, it can autonomously adjust screen brightness, refresh rate, and resolution based on content and environment, and employ facial recognition for device unlocking.

Highly anticipated at CES 2024, the HP Spectre Fold is a testament to HP’s innovation and creativity in personal computing. Expected to redefine the laptop category, this device promises users a fresh approach to work, play, and creation.
