A New Standard for Performance and Reliability
Infinix has launched the NOTE Edge in Kenya, marking the global debut of the world’s first smartphone powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 5G platform. The device also becomes one of the first to run on the new Android 16 with XOS 16.
With this launch, Infinix signals a clear shift in smartphone design. The focus moves from short-term performance bursts to long-term reliability, intelligent power use, and extended battery life. As a result, the NOTE Edge targets users who depend on their phones for work, content creation, and daily productivity.
Built around Infinix’s “Dream Booster” concept, the NOTE Edge supports modern digital lifestyles that demand constant connectivity. It combines a premium curved display, advanced AI features, and strong 5G performance in a slim 7.2mm body.
At its core, the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 chipset delivers smooth gaming, streaming, and multitasking while keeping power consumption low.
Battery Innovation at the Core
Battery performance stands out as a key highlight of the NOTE Edge. The device features a 6,150mAh self-healing battery, the largest ever introduced by Infinix in Kenya.
During charging cycles, the system repairs micro-damage, helping the battery retain over 80 per cent capacity after 2,000 full charges. This translates to up to six years of everyday use.
In real-world terms, the battery supports up to 25.4 hours of Google Maps navigation or 20.9 hours of YouTube playback. Despite its size, the battery fits into a lightweight 185g body, ensuring comfort and portability throughout the day.

Software, AI, and Long-Term Support
Running Android 16 with XOS 16, the NOTE Edge integrates AI-powered tools that simplify daily tasks and improve performance. These include system optimisation, AI-assisted productivity features, and enhanced imaging tools. Together, they deliver a smooth and responsive user experience.
Infinix also commits to three major Android-based XOS upgrades and five years of security updates. This guarantees long-term software support and stronger digital safety for users.
A Story of Inspiration and Access
To add a human dimension to the launch, Infinix is spotlighting Sabrina Simader, Kenya’s first female Winter Olympian. She will document her journey to the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics using the NOTE Edge, symbolising resilience and possibility through technology.
Priced from KES 32,999, the Infinix NOTE Edge is now available nationwide through authorised retailers, bringing premium 5G performance and battery innovation to a wider market.
