Huawei Launches GT6 Series, GT6 Pro and MatePad TXZ Tablets in Kenya

Huawei Kenya has unveiled its newest lineup of wearables and tablets, introducing the GT6 Series, GT6 Pro, and the MatePad TXZ range.

The launch signals the company’s latest push to offer smarter health tools, stylish design, and seamless device integration to Kenyan consumers.

Smarter Health and Premium Design

Huawei continues to strengthen its leadership in the wearables and tablet categories. The GT6 Series and GT6 Pro target users who want fitness accuracy, emotional well-being support, and long battery life.

The watches use premium materials, including sapphire glass and titanium alloy, giving them a durable and luxurious finish.

Huawei’s expanding ecosystem aligns with its global vision to “bring digital to every person, home and organization.” The company has shipped more than 180 million smart wearables globally as of 2024 and ranked number one in global wrist-wear shipments from Q1 to Q3 2024.

This global momentum reflects what is happening in Kenya, where many consumers now prefer devices that support fitness, mobility, and style at pocket-friendly prices.

“Kenya is a rapidly growing hub for digital wellness,” said Jin Renbin, Device Manager at Huawei Kenya. “Our new devices are slim, powerful, and smart, built for both style lovers and fitness enthusiasts.”

Advanced Tracking and Cross-Platform Compatibility

The GT6 Series and GT6 Pro introduce upgraded emotional well-being features, improved heart-rate accuracy, enhanced sleep tracking and pro-level sports tools. The watches also offer new cycling analytics and outdoor performance features.

Most importantly, they work smoothly across Android, iOS, HarmonyOS, and the wider Huawei ecosystem. Users can move from phone to tablet to wearable without interruptions, showing Huawei’s commitment to eliminating digital barriers.

Boosted Productivity With the MatePad TXZ

Huawei also launched the MatePad TXZ tablets, designed for productivity and creativity. The tablets feature PaperMatte technology, offering a glare-free screen that feels like real paper.

This makes them ideal for students, content creators, and professionals who want comfort during long hours of reading, writing, or sketching.

Their lightweight build and smooth cross-device syncing further reinforce Huawei’s goal to make mobile productivity simple and accessible.

Commitment to Kenya and Global Rollout

During the launch event, Wilfred Otieno, Marketing Manager for Huawei Devices Kenya, highlighted the company’s dedication to local consumers.

“Technology needs to add value to everyday living,” he said. “With this lineup, we’re combining health innovation, premium design, and seamless connectivity so users can live smarter.”

The GT6 Series is already rolling out globally. It launched in China and continues to enter markets including Malaysia, Japan, and the Philippines, with Indonesia and the UAE next in line.

Kenya is among the first African countries to receive the GT6 Series, showing Huawei’s strong focus on the region.

The GT6 Series, GT6 Pro, and MatePad TXZ tablets are now available in Huawei stores and through authorized retailers nationwide. Huawei will also offer promotional bundles and in-store demos to help customers explore the new products.

As Kenyans continue to look for devices that blend fitness, wellbeing, mobility and style, Huawei plans to keep delivering innovations that enhance everyday life.
