Preparations are in top gear ahead of the much-anticipated 2025 WRC Safari Rally, set to take place from March 20-23 in Naivasha, Nakuru County. As part of its commitment to sustainability, KCB Bank has amplified its environmental conservation efforts, integrating green initiatives into its motorsport sponsorship.
KCB-sponsored driver Evans Kavisi, alongside rally sensation Tinashe Gatimu, has taken the lead in promoting environmental stewardship ahead of the iconic event. Gatimu, who is part of the KCB racing team, has been fine-tuning her Subaru GC8 for the competition while also engaging in conservation activities. Together with KCB sponsored driver, Evans Kavisi, Tinashe participated in a tree-planting exercise organized by KCB.

As a woman in motorsport, I also want to show that we can lead both on the track and in championing sustainability efforts that secure a better future for the next generation.”

The tree-planting event, hosted at Karuri Primary School and Gachie High School in Nairobi, aligns with Kenya’s ambitious 15-billion-tree goal by 2032. It underscores KCB’s long-standing commitment to environmental action, with the bank directing KShs.1 million from its WRC sponsorship towards conservation efforts. This year, KCB has further intensified its sustainability agenda by integrating community engagement, education, and long-term environmental impact into its rallying initiatives.

In 2025, KCB has committed to planting 3,000 trees, building on a green legacy that has already seen over 100,000 trees planted since 2021.
