The US Air Force has awarded HII’s Mission Technologies an analytical and technical services contract to enhance its communication capabilities under the “Pegasus” program.

Overseen by the air force’s Concept, Development and Management Mission Partner Capability Office, the Pegasus initiative enables secure data exchange between the US military and its mission partners.

The program is among the information-sharing structures in the Five Eyes alliance, a military intelligence partnership of Canada, New Zealand, the US, Australia, and the UK.

Under the contract, HII will leverage advanced technologies for three years to maintain “seamless collaboration” for Pegasus.

Work for the project includes the supply of phone, email, chat, and video solutions. General Dynamics Information Technology will serve as a major subcontractor for the contract.

“Pegasus is an important capability that will help US military forces and Five Eyes members with critical war planning and execution,” Mission Technologies’ Cyber, Electronic Warfare and Space President Grant Hagen stated.

Recent Mission Technologies Contracts

Mission Technologies accepted a $148-million recompete task order in August to streamline services supporting the US Air Force bomber fleet’s management capabilities.

The same month, the firm developed a cyber threat hunting prototype kit to mitigate and neutralize malicious activities targeting the US federal government and partner nations’ digital domains.

Earlier this year, Mission Technologies also signed a $41-million contract to provide integrated training solutions and associated maintenance works for the US Navy’s fleet upskilling site in Virginia.
