Havelsan and Calidus partners on Ground-Based Training System

United Arab Emirates (UAE) Defense company, Calidus Aerospace LLC has announced the signing of heads of terms agreement with HAVELSAN for the sale of Ground Based Training System (GBTS) for UAE flagship indigenous Calidus aerial platforms, during SAHA Expo 2024. This signals strategic partnership between the companies to collaborate on cutting-edge solutions for its customers.

The companies recently signed an Agreement for development and delivery of Full Mission Simulator, Part Task Trainers and related supporting training solutions for Calidus aerial platforms.  The solution would be customized for Calidus customers and unique to the B-250 various roles and requirements.

HAVELSAN, a leading training solution provider in the region with vast experience and a state-of-the-Art product-line, will develop and deliver GBTS solutions with unique customer-specific enhancements and capabilities, in a short time to meet aircraft training needs.

The resulting        capability would serve to ensure concurrent upgrades of Training Solution as the aircraft capabilities evolve. This is in line with Calidus core values and vision to deliver industry leading solution to our customers in the region and internationally, being the only UAE National Aviation Technology company” said Dr. Khalifa AlBlooshi, Calidus Holding Group CEO. 

Dr. Mehmet Akif Nacar, CEO of HAVELSAN, shared his thoughts on the partnership:
