Gemini Crypto Exchange founders Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss have donated $2M in Bitcoin, 30.94M BTC, to Donald Trump to “put an end to the Biden Administration’s war on crypto.” The brothers shared their strong support for the former president and his mission to become the first “crypto president.”
“Over the past few years, the Biden Administration has openly declared war against crypto,” Tyler Winklevoss shared in a post to X. “It has weaponized multiple government agencies to bully, harass, and sue the good actors in our industry in an effort to destroy it. This Administration’s actions have been nothing short of an unprecedented abuse of power wielded entirely for twisted political gain at the complete expense of innovation, the American taxpayer, and the American economy.”
Cameron Winklevoss also shared a statement to X on the donation, praising Trump and saying that the brothers will vote for him in the upcoming election. “He will put an end to the Biden Administration’s war on crypto.”

Gemini Founders: Donald Trump Will Be The Pro-Crypto President We Need
Tyler Winklevoss added that Donald Trump is the ideal candidate for a cryptocurrency-accepting society. “President Donald J. Trump is the pro-Bitcoin, pro-crypto, and pro-business choice. This is not even remotely open for debate. Anyone who tells you otherwise is severely misinformed, delusional, or not telling the truth.
“It’s time to take our country back,” Tyler Winklevoss adds. “It’s time for the crypto army to send a message to Washington. That attacking us is political suicide. This is why I will be casting my vote for President Trump in November and I hope you will too. Onward!”
Earlier in the month, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump presented himself as a champion for cryptocurrency. He slammed Democrats’ attempts to regulate the sector during a San Francisco fundraiser, calling himself the “crypto president.” Trump has become one of a small group of politicians and government officials to support cryptocurrency innovation. Owning his own cryptocurrency, as well as offering Bitcoin and other crypto as a donation option for his campaign, Donald Trump is appealing to the cryptocurrency community ahead of the 2024 election.
