Galaxy S26 Ultra Wins ‘Best in Show’ at MWC 2026

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra has secured the Best in Show award at the Global Mobile Awards (GLOMO Awards) during Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona, Spain.

Samsung Electronics announced that the flagship smartphone received the top honor for its groundbreaking mobile technology and user-focused innovation.

The GSMA organizes the GLOMO Awards annually during Mobile World Congress 2026 to recognize outstanding achievements in the global mobile industry.

The Best in Show category highlights consumer products that set new benchmarks for mobile technology. Industry experts regard the award as one of the sector’s highest honors. More than 200 independent analysts, journalists and industry experts judge the competition.

Recognized for AI Innovation and Privacy Technology

During the March 4 ceremony, the Galaxy S26 Ultra won the award for its blend of advanced hardware and intuitive software powered by One UI 8.5.

Galaxy AI delivers adaptive, context-aware intelligence that simplifies everyday tasks while protecting user security and privacy. These capabilities help create a more intuitive mobile experience designed to anticipate user needs.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra also introduced the world’s first built-in Privacy Display. This breakthrough display technology allows users to enjoy a vibrant screen while maintaining greater privacy in public spaces.

Inside the device, a customized chipset powers faster Galaxy AI performance. The upgrade sets a new standard for seamless mobile AI experiences.

Judges Highlight Real-World Impact

Shaun Collins, Chair of the Judges for MWC Best in Show 2026, said the competition was particularly strong this year.

He noted that judges look for technology that not only demonstrates innovation but also delivers real impact.

According to Collins, the Galaxy S26 Ultra stood out for pushing the boundaries of mobile technology while addressing key concerns in the digital age, including privacy, security and personal trust.

Innovation That Consumers Can Experience Now

The judging panel also noted that the Galaxy S26 Ultra distinguished itself among more than 3,000 exhibitors at Mobile World Congress.

While many technologies showcased at the event represent future concepts, the panel said the Galaxy S26 Ultra offers innovation that consumers can experience today.

Samsung Highlights AI Leadership

Stephanie Choi, Executive Vice President and Head of Mobile Marketing at Samsung’s Mobile eXperience Business, welcomed the recognition.

She said the Galaxy S26 Ultra represents Samsung’s vision of an agentic AI smartphone designed to push the industry forward.

Choi added that the award holds special significance given the level of innovation presented at this year’s Mobile World Congress.
