ATLANTA, USA, (DELTA News Hub) – The future of the economy is on everyone’s minds right now. From a challenging housing market to the rise of digital currency, we are living through a period of rapid change.

Caribbean News Global delta_bostic Gaining Altitude: Building an economy that works for everyone

Join the conversation with host Delta CEO Ed Bastian and guest Raphael Bostic – economist, president and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta – on economic equity and leadership.

Ed and Raphael discussed responsive and transparent leadership, building an inclusive economy, overcoming institutional barriers, along with lighter topics like the merits of birdwatching. Raphael also addressed Ed’s simple-seeming question: What does a Federal Reserve President actually do?

As the first openly gay and first Black Federal Reserve Bank president, Raphael addresses defining his identity and what it means to bring your “true” self to work:

“[It’s about] knowing who I am, owning all the aspects of who I am, and not being apologetic about all those dimensions.”
