Orange Africa and Middle East and Eutelsat announced a strategic partnership to expand satellite Internet access across Africa and the Middle East. The initiative aims to bridge the digital divide by providing broadband connectivity to isolated areas, strengthening digital inclusion in the region.
Under this multi-year agreement, Orange will leverage the EUTELSAT KONNECT satellite, which offers advanced broadband technology, to deliver reliable and accessible Internet services. The initial deployment will cover Jordan, Côte d’Ivoire, Senegal, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, with plans to expand to other countries in the region.
By combining Orange’s telecommunications expertise with Eutelsat’s satellite technology, the partnership will provide secure, high-performance connectivity for both individuals (B2C) and businesses (B2B). The integration of fixed, mobile, and satellite technologies will enhance coverage in remote areas, addressing the growing demand for Internet access. This initiative aligns with Orange’s long-term vision of supporting digital development in its markets through the best available technologies while respecting national frameworks and strengthening local ecosystems.
