A new business automation platform, Zoorya, has been launched in Ethiopia through a multi-sector partnership that aims to digitize enterprise operations across key industries, including hospitality, retail, manufacturing, and import/export.

The platform combines enterprise resource planning (ERP), point of sale (POS), and fiscal cash register systems into a single, cloud-based solution. Designed and developed locally by ETTA Solutions, Zoorya offers rapid deployment, allowing merchants to set up a full ERP system in under a minute.

The initiative is supported by Ethio telecom, which is hosting the platform on its TeleCloud infrastructure and integrating it with telebirr, Ethiopia’s leading mobile money service with more than 54 million users. In addition to providing the digital backbone, Ethio telecom is taking the lead in nationwide distribution and merchant onboarding, positioning Zoorya for fast, broad-scale adoption.

Dashen Bank is supporting the platform by providing access to foreign currency for equipment procurement, and offering a “buy now, pay later” financing model to service providers. The bank has also integrated its payment systems with the platform to provide flexible transaction options for businesses.

Zoorya accepts both domestic and international cards and includes fiscal features certified by the Ethiopian Ministry of Revenues. It generates consolidated digital receipts and enables secure, contactless transactions in line with the country’s cashless economy goals.

The three partners aim to onboard over 10,000 merchants within the next two years, focusing on improved operational efficiency, financial inclusion, and access to modern digital tools for Ethiopian enterprises.
