Ethio telecom has announced the launch of its high-speed 4G LTE mobile network service in 93 cities across Ethiopia, marking a major step in expanding nationwide digital connectivity.

The newly launched 4G LTE service delivers faster and more reliable mobile data, enabling customers to improve business operations, access digital services efficiently, and enjoy an enhanced mobile internet experience.

Ethio telecom congratulated customers in the newly covered cities on joining the 4G LTE network and invited them to benefit from the improved speed and performance. Customers with 4G-compatible SIM cards can access the service by setting their mobile network mode to LTE/3G/2G (automatic selection).

Customers using non-4G SIM cards can exchange them free of charge at nearby Ethio telecom service centers. New 4G SIM cards are available for ETB 60 and include a special promotional package.

To support the rollout, Ethio telecom is offering modern smartphones at discounts of up to 25%, along with special data packages discounted by 15% for a limited time.

Observers noted this expansion underscores Ethio telecom’s commitment to advancing digital transformation and supporting Ethiopia’s vision of a digitally connected economy and society.
