Egypt’s National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA) officially launched 5G mobile services on Wednesday, 4 June 2025.
The service is now available through four major mobile network operators—Vodafone Egypt, Orange Egypt, e& Egypt, and Telecom Egypt—who have collectively invested USD 2.7 billion in 5G spectrum and licenses since 2019.
Telecom Egypt secured its 5G license in January 2024 while Vodafone Egypt, Orange Egypt, and e& Egypt all received licenses in October 2024.
