Founded by the late tourism pioneer Franco Rosso, Diamonds Malindi is owned by the Rosso family. Rosso was instrumental in promoting Kenya to the Italian market, launching the first charter flight from Italy to Nairobi over 50 years ago.

The resort is distinguished by its “slow glamour” concept, combining exceptional hospitality with the serene charm of the coast. It aims to provide a tranquil and exclusive atmosphere, complemented by a fresh dining experience with stunning ocean views. Emphasizing personalized service and contemporary design, Diamonds Malindi caters to a variety of guest profiles while maintaining its focus on exclusivity.

Sustainability remains a core commitment of Diamonds Malindi, with eco-friendly materials and practices integrated throughout the rebranding process.

The resort features sustainable furnishings and fabrics in its rooms, while the new beach restaurant highlights locally-sourced ingredients. Furthermore, Diamonds Malindi actively engages with the local community, partnering with artisans and producers to celebrate regional craftsmanship and flavors.
