Daikin Airconditioning India Pvt. Ltd. (DAIPL) https://www.daikin.com/, a subsidiary of Daikin Industries Ltd., Japan, has officially inaugurated its new office in Nairobi.
The facility is located on the 8th floor of One Africa Place and reflects the company’s growing commitment to Africa and its customers.
A Hub for Innovation and Growth
The new office features a modern showroom designed to showcase Daikin’s wide range of innovative and eco-friendly air-conditioning solutions. It also provides a platform to strengthen customer engagement, support marketing initiatives, and drive business growth across the region.
According to the company, Africa presents immense potential, with rapid urbanization and strong demand for energy-efficient solutions.
By establishing a physical presence in Nairobi, Daikin aims to better serve its customers while reinforcing its brand visibility in the HVAC sector.

Speaking at the launch, Mr. KJ Jawa, CMD of Daikin India and Board Member of DIL, emphasized Africa’s importance in Daikin’s global expansion plans.
“With India showing robust growth, we are now taking an aggressive approach within Africa. The new Daikin Office is a key step toward capturing significant market share. We are committed to providing unmatched consumer experiences through a strong dealer network, well-trained employees, and dedicated after-sales support,” he said.
Mr. Jawa added that Daikin’s investment goes beyond increasing capacity. It reflects a long-term vision to drive excellence, build partnerships, and contribute to Africa’s evolving landscape.

Aggressive Expansion Plans
Mr. Junichi Omori, General Manager, Global Operations Division, also outlined Daikin’s strategy for Africa.
“We are accelerating our expansion with the goal of strengthening market presence and leadership. The African market has shown remarkable momentum, and we expect it to become a multi-billion-dollar opportunity,” he said.
Additionally, he revealed that Daikin plans to introduce Africa-specific products, expand its dealer network, and invest heavily in marketing and customer engagement.
Lastly, with urbanization and infrastructure growth fueling demand, Daikin aims to surpass competitors and secure the number one AC brand position within three years.
