Huawei Technologies hosted the Huawei Cloud & Connect Summit Kenya 2025 on May 16 in Nairobi, bringing together over 600 participants. Government leaders, industry experts, and technology partners explored how cloud and AI can shape Kenya’s digital future. Held under the theme “Accelerate Intelligence, Ignite Smart Kenya”, the summit highlighted Kenya’s ambition to become a digital powerhouse in Africa.
During the Connect Session, public and private sector leaders shared ideas on how cloud infrastructure and AI could unlock national growth. Key discussions focused on case studies, public-private partnerships, and practical strategies for digital acceleration.
Victor Guo, President of Huawei Sub-Saharan Africa Enterprise Business, emphasized the role of cloud as the backbone of Kenya’s AI journey. “Cloud is not just support—it’s the catalyst for transforming entire industries,” he said. Huawei’s 27-year partnership with Kenya, he added, has evolved from building telecom infrastructure to powering a digital economy through advanced cloud solutions.
Kenya’s National AI Strategy 2025–2030 reinforces this vision, targeting AI integration in key sectors like energy, healthcare, transport, and agriculture. Huawei’s cloud platforms are designed to support this transformation with scalable, secure, and intelligent systems.
