The event brought smiles to over 200 children at the facility, as Safaricom shared love and blessings through various gifts, including foodstuffs, goats, chickens, sanitary towels and other essential items, creating a festive atmosphere filled with joy and gratitude.

Speaking during the visit to the facility, Safaricom’s Territory Business Lead, Brenda Chesingei, said, “We are delighted to be here at the Eldoret Children’s Rescue Centre to celebrate with the kids in the spirit of Sambaza Furaha. As we celebrate our customers for walking with us through 24 years of transforming lives, we thought it would also be good to bring an early Christmas to these children and spread joy and blessings. We have seen heavy smiles and joy on their faces, and they are very grateful,” she said.

On the other hand, David Magut the manager of the Eldoret Children’s Rescue Centre expressed heartfelt gratitude for Safaricom’s generous gesture. “I am extremely happy for what Safaricom has done for us today. This is a big blessing to these kids. My children are overjoyed, and while many people out there may not be sure of how they will celebrate this Christmas, at least for us, we are sure,” said Mr. Magut.

The visit was part of the ongoing Sambaza Furaha campaign that kicked off in the Region on Monday, November 11, with a caravan traversing major towns and markets along different routes including Narok, Mulot, Kabianga, Kericho, Nandi Hills, Kapsabet, Mosoriot among others, spreading blessings and joy to residents.
