Chapa Dimba All-Stars Head to Spain Camp
The Safaricom Chapa Dimba All-Stars Team will travel to Spain this weekend for a week-long international training camp. The squad of 25 players, 13 boys and 12 girls earned their spots after impressing scouts during Season 4 of the tournament held across the country.
The team departs Nairobi on Saturday evening, 6th September, for Huesca. There, they will train in world-class facilities, face top Spanish youth sides, and take part in activities designed to raise their game to professional standards.
Rising Stars of Kenyan Football
Chapa Dimba named 32 players in the All-Star squad. Of these, 25 will travel to Spain, while others have already secured call-ups to national and international clubs. Players like Austin Odongo, Emily Moranga, and Khamis Nyale have already stepped into professional football, highlighting the impact of the tournament.
“Chapa Dimba opens doors of opportunity for Kenyan youth, and today that vision comes alive in a bigger way,” said Safaricom CEO Dr. Peter Ndegwa. “Some players are heading to Spain to sharpen their skills, while others are joining top clubs. Both paths make us proud. This is the heartbeat of Chapa Dimba, empowering youth, transforming lives, and showcasing Kenyan football to the world.”

Training and Cultural Exchange
In Huesca, the players will train at the Base Aragonesa de Fútbol, S.D. Huesca’s modern sports city. They will face Huesca’s Youth Academy, join expert-led masterclasses, and learn from professional players.
The group will also enjoy cultural experiences. They will tour Spanish cities and watch a live Segunda División match between S.D. Huesca and Málaga CF.
“Visiting Spain and experiencing world-class football has always been my dream,” said Swaumu Masungo, one of the All-Stars. “I want to make the most of this chance, learn, and use the lessons to grow my football career.”

Stanley Waswa of Ndura Sports Academy will captain the boys’ team, while Manda Sunira Were of Highland Royals Moi Girls will lead the girls’ side. Coaches Chrispine Odindo (Plateau Queens) and Evans Oketch (Obunga FC) will guide the players, supported by Football Kenya Federation (FKF) officials.
