Buuri MP Disburses Ksh 55 Million For Bursary
Buuri Member of Parliament Hon. Rindikiri Mugambi has disbursed bursary funds worth KSH 55, 295, 000 Million to eligible learners in day schools, boarding schools, universities, colleges, KMTCs and special schools.
Speaking at Michogomone Primary school in Kiirua Naari ward, while issuing the cheques, the MP noted that “I will always support education because that is the best gift a parent can offer to his children. In this regard, I am optimistic that primary to secondary transition rate will boost and raise the standards of education in the constituency, aside from eradicating drug and alcohol abuse among the youth”

Parents, teachers and leaners have lauded Rindikiri’s initiative where his office has awarded bursary funds with openness and transparency.
Mama Harriet who is a parent to a learner in a special school, has thanked the MP for having considered the special schools. “The MP has advocated for equal opportunities to all learners. Many parents have been hiding their children with special needs due to the stigma in the community. However, through his support, our MP has changed the narrative and parents are now taking their kids to schools”
While in Timau ward at CCM Ontulili grounds for the bursary disbursement exercise, the MP advised politicians to convene peaceful forums and unite the people of Meru instead of dividing them along ethnic lines.
