Brittany Mahomes has made headlines recently due to the premier of the Netflix docuseries called ‘Quarterback’ which shows the life and achievements of her husband Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes.
According to an interview she gave to CBS Mornings Monday, she claimed that she was not ready for the type of fame she was going to get for actively participating on social media while being married to an NFL Superstar.
Brittany Mahomes claims she was not prepared for the fame she got
At the morning show, she said “I was not prepared for this, and at such a young age. We were in love, and I loved him with all of my heart.” Adding “But, you know, I didn’t expect it to skyrocket this soon, and us kind of just being thrown into the fire like this.“
Brittany has been criticized a lot for her behavior and boasting about her husband’s wins at other team’s fans, like what happened when the Chiefs visited the Buffalo Bills, where the mother of two screamed from the VIP Box and began throwing champagne to the people in the stadium, something that was completely uncalled for.
“When I started posting on Instagram me screaming and getting rowdy in the suite,” Brittany said. “I think the first time I did that it got blown up – and it’s like, ‘She’s crazy, this is too much.’
She elaborated claiming that “I ultimately learned that you don’t have to share everything that you do in your life.” To make amends for the bad press, she created “Team Brittany” shirts to sell and gather the proceeds to donate to a local Kansa City charity.
Meanwhile Patrick Mahomes gives her credit for his career “I truly mean this when I say, I think if I didn’t have Brittany, I wouldn’t be in the position I am now,” Mahomes told CBS.
