Big Wheels, A Game Changer For Kitengela Hardware

Customers of Nyonjoro Hardware Store in Kitengela are set to enjoy greater efficiency in the delivery of construction materials after the store acquired a brand-new heavy-duty truck.

The store purchased the commercial motor vehicle courtesy of an asset finance loan from Equity Kitengela Branch. Speaking during the handover ceremony outside the branch, Nyonjoro Hardware Director Samuel Njoroge acknowledged the support from Equity, describing the financial institution as a reliable financial partner.

“Equity wametembea na sisi kwa hii safari ya kununua hii lori. Tutaendelea kushirikiana na wao ili watu-support kununua lori zingine za kuimarisha hii biashara yetu ya simiti, mbao, chuma, misumari, terrazzo na locks za milango (Equity has walked with us on the journey to acquire this lorry. We will continue with our partnership so they can support us to acquire more lorries to grow our business of sales and distribution of cement, timber, steel bars, nails, terrazzo, and door locks),” said the entrepreneur, who hopes to expand his trade to the rest of East Africa.

Equity Bank Kitengela Branch Business Growth Development Manager, Winnie Karani, said the bank remains at the forefront of enabling mobility, enhancing livelihoods, and driving economic development. “Through asset finance and support to businesses like Nyonjoro, Equity endeavours to empower businesses, create jobs and ensure smoother transportation for goods and services. Let this milestone remind us of the impact we can achieve when we work together towards a common goal,” said Karani, noting that efficient delivery of construction materials will boost the Nyonjoro store sales.

Equity Bank Kenya, Nairobi East Regional Relationship Manager for Asset Finance, Simon Otieno, illustrated how Equity has shortened assets acquisition processes. “In support of individuals and businesses to acquire assets we ensure our customers journey is seamless with an approval process that in some cases takes only two days,” he said, noting that in addition to financing such heavy commercial vehicles, Equity also finances many kinds of machinery and equipment and offers insurance of the assets.

“Some of our offerings include but are not limited to, motor vehicles, construction equipment, industrial plants and machinery, agricultural equipment and office & IT based equipment. Our collateral requirements are flexible, and repayment terms are friendly,” added Otieno
