Government is making an urgent call for contributions from the Barbadian public and business community to assist those suffering in hurricane-ravaged Jamaica, Haiti, and Cuba.

Given the scale of this humanitarian and infrastructure crisis, the official Hurricane Melissa Regional Relief Fund has been established to facilitate financial support for territories impacted by the storm’s devastation.

Monetary donations can be made through the Central Bank of Barbados.

Donors using local banking services are asked to use the official details provided for all contributions.

The recipient country’s account number should be specified to ensure the correct allocation of funds.

Specific relief accounts include:

  • Hurricane Melissa Relief Jamaica – Account Number 243698
  • Hurricane Melissa Relief Haiti – Account Number 243699
  • Hurricane Melissa Relief Cuba – Account Number 243700

For any inquiries regarding deposits or fund transfers, emails can be sent to treasury@barbados.gov.bb.
