Pretoria, 29 February 2024,

Today, the African Tax Administration Forum (ATAF) announced the departure of Ms.
Varsha Singh, Head of Strategy, Planning, and International Cooperation, who will be leaving the organization to assume the role of Commissioner General of the
Seychelles Revenue Commission from 01st April 2024. 

Ms. Singh’s appointment as Commissioner General of the Seychelles Revenue Commission is a testament to her exceptional skills, extensive experience, and significant contributions to the tax and customs administration field. 

During her tenure at ATAF, Ms. Singh played a pivotal role in developing strategic initiatives that have significantly advanced the organization’s mission. Her efforts in shaping the organization’s strategic outlook, ensuring financial sustainability, and establishing strong collaborative relations with development partners, and fostering international cooperation strengthened ATAF’s capacity to support member countries and address the complex challenges facing tax administrations across the continent. 

“We will miss Ms. Singh’s leadership, expertise, and profound impact she had on our organization,” said Logan Wort, ATAF Executive Secretary. “However, we are equally excited for her as she embarks on this new chapter in her career. We are confident that she will bring the same level of commitment, innovation, and excellence to the Seychelles Revenue Commission, contributing to the prosperity of Seychelles.”

Ms. Singh has over 28 years of experience in tax, customs, transfer pricing, trade facilitation, international relations, and organizational excellence. She holds a Master’s of International Customs Law and Administration from the University of Canberra, Australia, and a Master’s in Business Administration from the Management College of Southern Africa, South Africa.

ATAF congratulates Ms. Singh on her new appointment and wish her every success in her new position and look forward to potential collaborations from her new role, further strengthening the ties between ATAF and the Seychelles Revenue Commission.
