Hundreds of APC supporters joined the party’s chairman in Kano, Abdullahi Abbas, for a prayer session at Kofar Mata Eid Ground, the site of a demolished shopping complex.

Abbas said the prayer session was to thank God for the party’s victory at the Kano State Governorship Election Tribunal, which returned Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna as the winner of the March 18, 2023 election.

Speaking after the prayers, Abbas said Kano people have every right to celebrate the return of the APC because it is the party and government that connects with the feelings of citizens.

“He promised to correct the wrongs and imperial tendencies meted out to Kano citizens under the NNPP government, and to restore normalcy and prosperity to the state.”

“Abbas also promised to return all demolished shops to their owners, saying that this was a promise that the APC would certainly fulfill.”
