For many young women, finding a well-paying job without prior experience or formal education can seem impossible. But what if there were a program that not only offered a stable income and hands-on training but also covered the cost of relocating to a new country? Alabuga Start turns that possibility into reality.

Launched in 2022 by the Alabuga Special Economic Zone, one of Europe’s leading industrial hubs, this initiative welcomes women aged 18 to 22 from India, Africa, and Latin America. Participants receive professional training, a monthly allowance of up to $1,000, and mentorship to build their careers in fields like hospitality, manufacturing, and transport services. Whether they choose to stay in Russia or return home, graduates leave with valuable skills and international work experience.

Fields of Training and Work

The programme provides training in multiple sectors, allowing participants to choose from:

  • Service and Hospitality (Hotel Business) – Learning customer service, event planning, and hotel management.
  • Catering (Restaurant Business) – Training in food preparation, service, and restaurant management. Production Operations – Working with machinery and industrial processes.
  • Road Transport (Driver) – Training as a professional driver in a motor transport workshop.

Each participant is assigned a mentor from day one to provide hands-on training. This ensures a practical, skill-based learning experience.

Living and Learning in Russia

The programme fully covers relocation expenses and brings participants to Yelabuga, a city in the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia. Tatarstan’s capital, Kazan, is a vibrant cultural hub that hosted the BRICS 2024 Summit, attracting representatives from over 30 countries worldwide.

According to Alabuga Start Reps, participants of the programme live in comfortable accommodations and receive Russian language lessons to help them adjust. They also get access to health insurance, cultural activities, and social events to ease their transition into a new environment.

Benefits of the Programme

The Alabuga Start Programme offers several incentives to ensure a rewarding experience, including:

  • Professional Training in a chosen field.
  • Russian Language Lessons to help with communication.
  • Preferential Accommodation in fully furnished hostels.
  • A Monthly Allowance of up to 100,625 rubles ($1,000).
  • Paid Flight to Russia for successful applicants.
