South Africa’s FNB Stadium is probably the continent’s most recognizable stadium, having hosted the 2010 FIFA World Cup final. And with a seating capacity of 94,736, it is definitely Africa’s largest stadium. The title of Africa’s second-largest stadium belongs to Egypt’s Misr Stadium with a capacity of 93,940. Other giants include Borg El-Arab Stadium in Alexandria, DR Congo’s Stade des Martyrs, and Cairo International Stadium. From Morocco’s Ibn Batouta Stadium to Nigeria’s Moshood Abiola Stadium, these arenas have hosted AFCON finals, FIFA events, and club showdowns.
