This is an open call to artists and creators to a cultural rendezvous in Ghana from February 10 to 19, 2024. This unique event, designed to showcase the power of artistic fusion, converges the diverse cultures of Ghana, Togo, Benin, and EU Member States.

In this dynamic gathering, artists from various disciplines unite to ignite cross-continental collaboration and cultural exchange. The residency project, located near Accra on the coast, further promises a transformative experience for selected artists, concluding with an exclusive closing event at the residence of the EU Ambassador in Ghana, H.E. Extending an invitation to artists from Ghana, Togo, Benin, and EU Member States to join the extraordinary fusion event. The invitation also covers unique perspectives in fashion, music, or visual arts, including painting, photography, collage, and graffiti.

The application process invites artists to submit their portfolios, ideas, as well as aspirations through the official form page, offering detailed instructions for a seamless submission experience.

A discerning panel of judges from the arts and culture spheres will meticulously assess submissions in two stages. First, a desk review will identify the 12 artists participating in the 9-day residency. During the closing event, evaluators will assess these artists based on their creative spark, commitment to cross-cultural collaboration, and passion for promoting art, all aligned with EU values.

A quartet of artists from each category will be chosen from Ghana, Togo, Benin, and the European Member States to participate in the Fusion residency. Eligibility rules also emphasize nationality and residence, ensuring that artists converge from the specified countries.

The artist residency from February 10 to 19, 2024, will unfold at the captivating Kokrobite Garden Guest House, nestled moments away from the enchanting Kokrobite Beach. This hidden retreat indeed blends comfort and nature, offering tastefully designed accommodations, lush gardens, and a diverse dining experience catering to artistic palettes.
