Disturbed by the severe housing shortage that has left millions of Nigeria’s citizens homeless, a housing expert, Chuka Harrison Okoye, has suggested few things the governments at all levels can do to address the country’s housing affordability crisis.

Okoye, who is the CEO of Facibus Housing spoke to newmen during the unveiling of the company’s latest development, Highbury Heights, a luxurious enclave nestled in Ikate, Lagos.

According to him, high cost of land, high naira exchange rate and others are some of the hindrances to affordable housing in Nigeria. He called on the Federal and state governments to make land readily cheap and affordable and also control the naira exchange rate, adding that by so doing the cost of building houses would reduce.

Speaking on his company’s latest development, Highbury Heights, Okoye said the venture represents

the company’s inaugural luxury project since its inception 10 years ago.

He said: “We’ve been dedicated to building in Ikota and its environs, establishing a reputable presence in the area. The launch of Highbury Heights marks our venture into the vibrant Lekki Phase 1 and Ikate, a monumental step towards contributing to this expanding community.”

Highbury Heights offers a collection of thoughtfully designed two-bedroom apartments, a blend

of space, comfort, and functionality. Residents will delight in resort-style amenities, including a sparkling swimming pool, a serene spa, and beautifully landscaped gardens, all underpinned by 24/7 security and concierge services.

Highbury Heights celebrates not only luxury living but also the visionary leadership of CEO Harrison Okoye. As a second-generation real estate company, Facibus Housing has achieved remarkable milestones, culminating in over 100 units built through the Pentagon Court Housing Series, from phase 1 to phase 5, situated in the coveted Ikota region of Lekki.

Investing in Facibus Housing means more than acquiring a home; it’s a commitment to a legacy of trust and excellence. Join us on this extraordinary journey to redefine living standards and experience unparalleled luxury.
