Patrick Mahomes was just named as the last of five NFL stars who made the famous ’99’ club in the new Madden 24 videogame. As the reigning MVP, that was completely expected but there are some other quarterbacks who probably don’t agree with not being named as part of this prestigious club. One of those quarterbacks is Baltimore Ravens‘ Lamar Jackson, who is currently amongst the highest-paid stars in the NFL. He recently closed a deal to remain at the Ravens after multiple rumors about his future kept coming out in various media outlets. Jackson is set for life but he also happens to think he is one of the best quarterbacks in the league, if not the best.

Lamar Jackson’s hilarious reaction after being left off the ’99’ club

Lamar Jackson is not poorly ranked amongst Madden 24’s bet quarterbacks, he ranks fourth. However, his rating is not what he expected it to be at ’91’. Below Patrick Mahomes’ ’99’, we got Joe Burrow at ’95’, and Josh Allen at ’94’. Right behind those three, Lamar Jackson sits with his rating. But the Ravens QB is not happy with this and he found a simple solution to this problem. All he said he will do is upgrade himself manually when he gets to play the game. Although that doesn’t line up with what reality says about him, that’s what will keep him happy and help him sleep well at night. But let’s try to be objective for a change, shall we?

There is no question Lamar Jackson is one of the NFL’s most talented players, he earned the contract he currently has with the Baltimore Ravens. However, the man still has to prove he has what it takes to birng his team to a Super Bowl. Other quarterbacks such as Joe Burrow or Patrick Mahomes have proven far more than Jackson has at this point. This doesn’t mean he won’t be able to get there someday, but he has currently still proved nothing. We will be eager to see what the new season has in store for him and how the league tests his resilience when he faces the best teams throughout the season.
