The US Justice Department is set to more than double its crypto enforcement team, according to a new statement. Nicole Argentieri said that the NCET would become a vital part of criminal investigation units. Moreover, she stated that the department is tasked with handling, “a range of computer-related investigations.” Mostly connected with the digital asset sector, for which it has been given its name.

Additionally, the task force is set to get new leadership following the departure of the current director, Eun Young Choi. Claudia Quiroz is currently serving as the enforcement team’s active director. Choi is expected to be moving to a new position within the Justice Department.
