The African Travel and Tourism Association also notes that the sector is expanding faster than ever, with OAG data showing 182.4 million seats scheduled from January to October 2026, and 129.5 million of those on international routes, an 18.6% jump from last year.

Below are the top 10 airports in Africa in 2026, according to Skytrax.

1. Cape Town International Airport (South Africa)
