Cementing Its Status as a Leading Energy Drink

Kenafric Beverages and Bottling Limited has concluded the nationwide “Jibambe na STEAM” campaign. The promotion rewarded Kenyans who chose STEAM Energy Drink during the festive season and into the New Year.

A simple purchase turned into a chance to win. As a result, everyday shopping became exciting and memorable. Consumers walked away with weekly shopping vouchers and high-value electronics while staying energised.

Grand Finale in Nairobi

Organisers hosted the grand finale on Valentine’s Day at Greenspan Mall in Nairobi. During the lively ceremony, they celebrated the campaign’s top winners.

Shabir Rashid from Mtwapa won a 55-inch Smart TV. Edwin Reuben Chomba from Nairobi received a powerful subwoofer. Meanwhile, Mohamed Mgandi Ndura from Nyali took home a new smartphone.

The experience felt deeply personal for the winners.

“I usually see these promotions and never imagine I would win. When I got the call, I thought it was a joke. My children are very excited about the TV, so this means a lot to us,” said Rashid.

Chomba described his win as a perfect way to start the year. Ndura, a university student passionate about technology and agriculture, said the smartphone would greatly support his studies.

Beyond the prizes, the event celebrated everyday Kenyans who make STEAM part of their routines and milestones.

How Kenyans Participated

Major retailers such as Naivas, QuickMart, Eastmatt, Khetias, Mathai, and Magunas supported the campaign. Shoppers simply bought STEAM, scanned the QR code on the bottle tag, and uploaded receipts for weekly draws.

At the same time, social media amplified engagement.

Participants shared festive moments and “Njaanuary survival” stories using #JibambeNaSTEAM. These entries captured real-life energy, resilience, and joy.

A Fast-Growing Favourite

Strong participation highlights STEAM’s growing popularity in Kenya’s competitive energy drink market. The brand continues to attract young and active consumers across the country.

Industry recognition has strengthened this momentum. Awards and consumer endorsements now position STEAM among Kenya’s most preferred energy drinks. Online conversations also continue under #STEAMLoveAtFirstTaste.

Major Industry Recognition

The campaign followed a strong 2025 for the brand. During the Kenya Beverage Excellence Awards in November at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Nairobi,

organisers named STEAM the Most Preferred Energy Drink in Kenya.

Additionally, STEAM Recharge won the Most Preferred New Beverage Concept award. Judges also ranked the Power Up Game On campaign as First Runner-Up for Best Marketing Campaign of the Year, citing its creativity and youth appeal.

Kenafric Beverages and Bottling Limited earned Runner-Up Manufacturer of the Year, further demonstrating its commitment to quality and innovation.

Great Taste, Premium Look, Real Energy

STEAM stands out for its bold taste, premium packaging, and practical energy solutions.

STEAM Recharge supports recovery after demanding schedules. Meanwhile, STEAM Power fuels active lifestyles and long days. STEAM Original

delivers a reliable boost whenever extra energy is needed.

Together, these variants give consumers flexible options that fit their daily routines.

More Than a Drink

The “Jibambe na STEAM” campaign reflects the brand’s commitment to energising celebrations and busy schedules alike.

Each bottle delivers more than refreshment. It fuels momentum and helps consumers move forward with confidence.

Kenafric conducted the campaign in full compliance with Betting Control and Licensing Board regulations under BCLB Number 0000316.
