The US has responded to BRICS by using various methods of threats to challenge the dollar. Donald Trump has openly threatened the alliance members with dire consequences if they launch a new currency. The dollar should reign supreme and no other currency or country must stiffle with the financial order, which is dominated by the West, and mostly America.

Political commentator Sujit Nair said in a recently released HW video that the US used harsh methods to stop BRICS from challenging the dollar. The response from Trump was undemocratic and authoritarian, giving no free will to countries to decide their course of action.

“America is threatening most of the BRICS countries by giving an open threat not launch a currency or challenge the dollar. This is like your next-door supermarket telling you, ‘There should not be any other supermarket in the area. You should not go and purchase from other supermarkets in the area. And you should only purchase from me,” Nair explained.

“How fair is this, and where is the free will? Where is the competition? Their response should have been that, ‘I will compete in the market. I will do better than others, and that is what I call competition. A capitalistic country like America is destroying free will by using force and threats.” This is how the US responded to the concept of a BRICS currency if it ever happens to protect the dollar.

Also, the response from the US against BRICS for challenging the dollar has put off a lot of countries. The concept of free will in the world order has been forcefully shut down. Moreover, the launch of a new currency or the ideology to stop using the dollar should be of their own will.
