Graduating the Next Generation of Banking Talent
NCBA Bank has graduated 45 interns from its 2025 Go-Getter Internship Programme, reinforcing its commitment to building future-ready talent.
The ceremony marked another milestone in the Bank’s long-term strategy to develop a strong and sustainable leadership pipeline.
Since launching the programme in 2022, NCBA has onboarded 150 interns. Nearly 40 per cent of them have transitioned into permanent roles. This outcome highlights the programme’s impact and relevance in preparing young professionals for the financial services sector.
Hands-On Exposure Across the Business
The Go-Getter Internship Programme places interns across key business functions. These include Retail Banking, Corporate and Investment Advisory, Technology and Operations, Credit Risk Management, Enterprise Risk and Controls, Customer Experience, Digital Business, and HR and Culture.
Through this structure, interns gain hands-on exposure to real business challenges. They also develop practical skills that align with NCBA’s operational and innovation priorities.

Innovation Through AI-Powered Solutions
During the ceremony, interns showcased AI-powered, customer-focused projects. They worked in four multidisciplinary teams, each tasked with solving real business problems.
The presentations demonstrated strong collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving skills. They also reflected a clear understanding of how technology can improve customer experiences and drive efficiency.
NCBA Reinforces Its Go-Getter Culture
Speaking at the event, Monicah Kihia, NCBA Group Director of HR and Culture, highlighted the values behind the programme.
“The Go-Getter culture is rooted in action, courage, and continuous growth. It is about stepping forward boldly, embracing challenges, and turning ambition into results,” she said.
She added that the graduates showed resilience, determination, and a strong drive to succeed. According to Kihia, the interns are ready to make a meaningful impact in banking and beyond.
