A pioneering housing innovation firm has unveiled its intention to enlist more than 500 accredited builders and developers from throughout the nation, as part of a significant endeavor to confront Nigeria’s substantial housing shortfall and enhance access to economical homes.
This initiative, which Homes on Demand — a PropTech-driven enterprise — has characterized as one of Africa’s most heralded housing transformation endeavors, aims to cultivate a transparent, technologically-enhanced construction ecosystem seamlessly linking design, development, and delivery.
In essence, this initiative will establish a groundbreaking standard for housing provision in Nigeria and beyond the borders of the continent.
During a recent media conference held in Ilorin, the Chief Executive Officer of Homes on Demand, Mallam Bashir Yusuf, articulated that the project was intended to dramatically change the paradigm of how homes are constructed, financed, and managed across Africa.
“This concept sprouted from a yearning to simplify, optimize, and illuminate the path to homeownership,” he expressed.
“We are not merely erecting structures; we are crafting a transformative way of living — one where technology and trust serve as the bedrock of each cherished home,” he asserted.
He elaborated that the advanced SmartSite Dashboard and Construction Playbook platform will empower clients to digitally order, personalize, and oversee their housing projects from any corner of the globe.
He asserted that this digital infrastructure eradicates longstanding hurdles such as project delays, substandard quality, distrust, and corruption that have persistently plagued housing delivery in Nigeria.
The CEO revealed that the company will officially launch its nationwide builder recruitment network on 10 November 2025, inviting licensed builders, developers, and construction experts to enter its digital realm.
He clarified that the selected professionals will serve as strategic allies, not mere employees, adhering to a collective standard of quality, ethics, and transparency.
“This is more than recruitment — it embodies a partnership movement; it presents a remarkable opportunity for Nigerian builders and developers to stand at the forefront of Africa’s forthcoming housing revolution.”
He remarked that every endeavor executed under the Homes on Demand framework will foster local employment, sustainable practices, and digital financial inclusivity through traceable and transparent systems.
As he summarized, this initiative is poised to invigorate the housing economy, broaden professional horizons for builders, and cultivate a novel culture of ethical construction throughout Africa.
“This movement is about rewriting Africa’s housing narrative — one where excellence reigns supreme and integrity remains non-negotiable,” Bashir concluded.
He announced that aspiring builders and developers can pre-register for early access via the company’s website, noting that those who register before the official launch will enjoy priority onboarding and exclusive updates regarding the national rollout.
