Over One Million Kenyans to Benefit from New Projects in Health, Education, and Economic Empowerment

Safaricom Foundation has launched Phase 7 of its Ndoto Zetu initiative, expanding its reach to transform lives through sustainable community projects.

The Foundation will inject KES 100 million into this phase, adding to the KES 500 million already invested since the programme began in 2019.

Empowering Local Dreams Across Counties

The launch took place at Eldoret Special School in Uasin Gishu County.

Here, the Foundation donated vocational equipment such as knitting machines and raw materials.

These tools will enable learners to create hand-crafted products for sale, giving them economic independence and essential life skills.

“With Ndoto Zetu, we are inspired by everyday Kenyans who dream not just for themselves, but for their communities,” said Safaricom CEO Dr. Peter Ndegwa.

“When your dream lifts others, it becomes our dream too.”

Real Impact, Real Change

Since its inception, Ndoto Zetu has completed over 1,820 community projects and positively impacted more than 3 million lives across all 47 counties.

In 2023 alone, the Foundation delivered 400 projects: 294 in education, 52 in health, and 54 in economic empowerment.

In addition, the M-PESA Foundation has rolled out the Wezesha Mama programme in the Rift region.

Partnering with Hand-in-Hand, the initiative supports women’s groups with business training, startup capital, and resources to grow sustainable enterprises.

How to Apply

In conclusion, Kenyans interested in applying for support under Ndoto Zetu can pick up forms at any Safaricom Shop or submit an application online at safaricomfoundation.org/ndotozetu. Successful applicants will be contacted directly through the official Safaricom line: 0722 000 000.
