Ethio Telecom announced on Saturday it has teamed with Dashen Bank and ETTA Solutions to launch a business automation solution that integrates ERP, point of sale (POS) and cash register systems into a single platform.

Ethio Telecom said the solution, dubbed Zoorya, is tailored for enterprises in sectors such as hospitality, import/export, manufacturing, and retail to help them modernise service delivery, streamline business operations and workflows, and empower data-driven decision-making.

Ethio Telecom hosts the Zoorya platform – which was developed by ETTA – on its TeleCloud infrastructure. Ethio Telecom said it has also integrated Zoorya with its Telebirr payment system, which has over 54 million customers. Telebirr will also lead promotion and distribution of the solution to merchants across the business sector.

Dashen Bank facilitates foreign currency provision for the importation of the required machines. The bank is also offering a “buy now, pay later” financing model for service providers, and will ensure simple payment alternatives by integrating the solution with its own payment services.

Ethio Telecom said Zoorya facilitates fast business transactions, ensures transparent operations, and enables secure and contactless business transactions that will contribute to the creation of a cashless society.

Ethio Telecom, Dashen Bank and ETTA aim to provide the solution to over 10,000 merchants over the next two years.
