The Africa International Housing Show (AIHS) 2025 is set to welcome over 400 global brands as discussions on housing investments intensify. Leading Lagos-based real estate developers, including Nedcomoaks, Periwinkle, Tribitat, Gracias Global Homes, and Zylus, are among the key players preparing for the 19th edition of Africa’s largest housing and construction event, scheduled for July 27 to August 1, 2025, at the Transcorp Hilton in Abuja.
Under the theme “Reimagining Housing Through Innovation, Collaboration, and Policy,” AIHS 2025 will highlight innovative ideas and transformative partnerships aimed at addressing Africa’s housing deficit.
With more than 400 top brands already confirmed, the event promises to pave the way for advancements in housing investment, policy innovation, and sustainable development. Industry leaders such as Dangote Cement, Lafarge Africa, Urban Shelter, Mshel Homes, Hall 7, Cosgrove, and Brain & Hammers will participate alongside major financial institutions like CityCode Mortgage Bank, NMRC, Family Homes Funds, and the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN). Additionally, cutting-edge firms like CDK, Haven Homes, Brooks Africa, DME Group, and COPEN Group will present innovative solutions across the housing value chain.
This year’s event is expected to attract over 40,000 participants from more than 21 countries, including ministers, governors, and parliamentarians from Ghana and Nigeria, as well as ambassadors, policy influencers, and international development partners such as the World Bank, IFC, Shelter Afrique, AUHF, and the African Development Bank.
According to the organizers, AIHS 2025 will provide a platform for high-level discussions on pressing sector challenges, including land access, housing finance, non-interest banking, and pension-driven investments.
“Leading banks like Lotus Bank, Jaiz Bank, and TAJ Bank will spearhead discussions on non-interest housing finance and capital market instruments. The AIHS CEOs Forum will gather local and international leaders to explore large-scale developments, new investment models, and climate-smart construction. A special focus on CEOs under 40 will highlight emerging voices driving innovation, while the Women in Real Estate segment will emphasize inclusive and gender-responsive development strategies.”
The event will also include parliamentary dialogues aimed at addressing outdated housing laws and legislative reforms across African nations. “Dedicated sessions will connect the African diaspora with verified, profitable real estate investments back home. The Best of AIHS Awards Gala will recognize excellence in affordable housing, sustainable architecture, innovation, and social impact, reinforcing AIHS’s status as the benchmark for housing excellence on the continent.”
Supported by the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, led by Arc. Ahmed Dangiwa, AIHS 2025 aims to showcase government-backed initiatives at continental, national, and subnational levels that are designed to enhance housing delivery and infrastructure investment.
“With growing interest from investors in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, AIHS 2025 is set to ignite multi-million-dollar partnerships, promote local production, and accelerate the transformation of Africa’s urban landscape. As Africa faces a housing deficit exceeding 22 million units in Nigeria alone, the need for coordinated, innovative action is urgent,” stated Festus Adebayo, Convener of AIHS and Executive Director of the Housing Development Advocacy Network (HDAN).
Adebayo emphasized, “This is not just another event; it’s a movement to reshape the future of housing in Africa.”
