Abu Dhabi Police warn against spread of rumours in new public advisory

Abu Dhabi Police have issued a statement calling on residents to rely exclusively on credible media sources for information, warning against the spread of rumours and misinformation.

In their announcement, the police authority emphasised that distributing unverified information “contradicts the values of positive citizenship and social responsibility” expected from community members.

Abu Dhabi Police urge public to combat misinformation

The statement highlighted the role that residents play in maintaining information integrity, noting that the public should “seek news only from reliable and trustworthy sources.”

Abu Dhabi Police also cautioned residents about sharing content on social media platforms without verification, stressing the need for accuracy to prevent potential harm to “the safety and security of society.”
