Ethio Telecom launched a partnered service with MultiChoice Ethiopia to significantly advance the entertainment sector, enabling customers to access modern fiber broadband internet and mobile data packages combined with various DStv Ethiopia entertainment channels as a bundle.

Fixed broadband internet is playing a significant role for both organizations and individuals by enabling virtual meetings, cloud gaming, online education, online shopping, e-commerce, and smart home applications, thereby modernizing daily life and increasing productivity. In addition to the extensive expansion of its 3G, 4G LTE, and 5G mobile networks, Ethio Telecom is delivering fast internet infrastructure to customers by replacing copper lines with fiber (Fiber-to-the-Room – FTTR / Fiber-to-the-Home – FTTH).

This enhanced capacity has created the enabling conditions for the partnership announced today with DStv, allowing Ethio Telecom to offer various entertainment programs bundled with fiber broadband internet and mobile data packages.

This service will enhance the customer’s Digital Lifestyle by enabling them to easily access entertainment services, conveniently make a single-bill payment for both services via telebirr, achieve wider accessibility for entertainment, access DStv content cost-effectively via the internet, and watch football, live broadcasts, movies, dramas, news, and various programs according to their preferences, anytime and anywhere, using smart TVs, non-smart TVs, smartphones, and computers. Moreover, as the service requires no satellite dish or cable, it enhances urban development standards while simplifying fault repair.

The service allows customers to watch entertainment programs anywhere by purchasing various monthly mobile data package options—featuring DStv’s Gojo, Beteseb, Meda, Meda Plus, and Premium packages (including popular local and international channels) with discounts up to 35%—easily via telebirr or My Ethiotel (*999#). Additionally, customers can purchase packages bundled with fiber broadband internet at Ethio Telecom sales centers, offering discounts of up to 26.5%.

Ethio Telecom is committed to strengthening its efforts to provide and launch comprehensive, accessible digital services and solutions that address our customers’ digital lifestyle needs. This reaffirms our dedication to delivering inclusive, affordable, and high-quality digital experiences throughout the country.
