CUBA / TRINIDAD – A flight from the United States returned 60 irregular migrants to Cuba, as part of the bilateral migration agreements, reported the island’s Ministry of Interior (Minint).

The group, made up of 55 men and five women, arrived on Thursday in Havana’s Jose Marti International Airport, in the third operation of this kind from the United States this year (after those of January 23 and February 27).

According to the Minint’s note, one of these people was transferred to the investigative body for allegedly committing criminal acts before leaving the country, and another because he left the country illegally while they were on probation.

With this operation, there are 13 returns from different countries in the region in 2025, with a total of 367 people.

The text stresses that Cuba remains firm in its commitment to regular, safe and orderly migration, while reiterating the danger and life-threatening conditions posed by illegal departures from the country by sea.
