Bernard Ayitee, a hedge-fund manager who grew up in the country, believes its economic potential is vast. In the 1980s, Ivory Coast thrived during the so-called “Ivorian miracle,” attracting workers from across West Africa. Now, with strong growth and a stable government, the country aims for upper-middle-income status within five years. As presidential elections approach, many wonder if a second economic boom is on the horizon.
