Additionally, under a USD 3 million investment outlay, Tropikal Brands Afrika has unveiled the personal care range of products under the ALO brand name.

What does ALO Contain?

Speaking at the ALO personal care products launch, Tropikal Brands Afrika Managing Director Mr. Davis Mukuria explains that the newly introduced product line includes Body Lotions, Shower Gels, Body Sprays, and Roll-Ons, all formulated with quality ingredients.

Africa Business News

Mr. Mukuria said the launch of the new ALO personal care products marks a significant milestone in Tropikal Brands Afrika’s journey toward delivering superior, nature-inspired personal care solutions that resonate with the modern African consumer.

Therefore, as part of the firm’s local agricultural value chain promotion strategy, Mr Mukuria said Tropikal Brands Afrika has developed a line of goat milk-enriched ALO Body Lotions.

Equally, the company has worked with Kenyan suppliers and over 500 farmers to produce lotion made with Goat milk that harnesses the power of natural lactic acid. This natural ingredient helps exfoliate dead skin cells.

The new ALO product line also features Aluminum-Free Deodorants, which provide 48 hours of freshness without compromising skin health.

“At Tropikal Brands Afrika, we are committed to providing high-quality, effective, and sustainable skincare and hygiene solutions that meet the needs of a discerning consumer. The ALO range of personal care products underscores this commitment,” he says.

“We are also working hard to elevate the role of local manufacturing sector players in fostering agricultural value chain growth as attested by the use of goat milk extracts in some of the ALO products.” He adds

According to Statista, a global data and business intelligence platform, Kenya’s personal care market is experiencing a surge in demand for natural and organic products, driven by an increasing awareness of health and environmental concerns.

Additionally, the local Personal Care market is estimated to reach US$1.29bn this year with a projected annual growth rate of 4.90% (CAGR 2025-2030).

“At Tropikal Brands Afrika, innovation is at the heart of what we do. We are dedicated to continuously enhancing our product offerings to meet the consumer’s evolving needs while also contributing to job creation and economic growth,” says Mr. Mukuria.

Proud Moments

Similarly, Tropikal Brands Afrika, Head of Commercial, Mr Simon Kabue, said

“We are proud of the journey it has taken us to get here with the support of Kenyan farmers. They have ensured we have high-qualityingredients to come up with various formulations for our personal care products.”

“We are grateful that we have had the opportunity to create direct and indirect employment opportunities for local economic growth in line with our sustainability agenda.” He adds

In conclusion, the ALO personal care range will be available in all leading retail outlets across East and Central Africa.
