UAE tops the list

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) ranks first, with 88% of its population being migrants, a testament to its role as a business and employment hub. The country hosts over 8.7 million immigrants, largely driven by its booming industries, tax-free income policies, and growing economy.

United States – The largest migrant population

Although the United States ranks second in percentage terms (14% migrants), it has the largest immigrant population globally, with over 50 million foreign-born residents. The USA remains a prime destination for people seeking education, work, and better living conditions.

Middle Eastern and European nations dominate

Top 10 countries with the largest immigrant communities

Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Oman feature prominently in the rankings, with significant portions of their populations being immigrants. Luxembourg, a small but economically strong European country, has a migrant population of 48%, making it one of the most diverse in the world.
